When should I file my Income Tax Return?
Income tax returns must generally be filed within three months from the end of the income year (Shrawan to Ashad) as prescribed under the Income Tax Act, 2058. If additional time is required, taxpayers may apply to the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) for an extension before the due date, subject to approval.
Do I need to file a tax return even if my business made a loss?
Yes. Businesses are generally required to file tax returns even if they incurred a loss during the year.
When should VAT returns be filed?
VAT returns are generally required to be filed monthly by the 25th day following the end of each tax period (month), even if no taxable transactions occurred during the month.
